Ellen McCarty Certified Gallup/CliftonStrengths Consultant since 2021
People have an extraordinary capacity for resilience — and organizations can strengthen this essential trait to thrive in today’s complex world. As a
Certified Gallup/CliftonStrengths consultant, I’ve seen firsthand how leveraging strengths empowers individuals and teams to overcome challenges and
achieve meaningful goals.
I help individuals and organizations identify, develop, and apply their unique strengths to build resilience, achieve goals,
adapt to challenges, and drive strategic success. My passion for CliftonStrengths runs deep shaped by years in juvenile
justice, child welfare, and executive leadership roles with Metro Atlanta and national nonprofit organizations. Throughout
my career, I’ve witnessed the power of strengths-based development - especially in times of adversity, when resilience
and clarity are most essential. Helping individuals and teams recognize and apply their strengths not only fuels growth
but also equips them to navigate challenges with confidence and purpose
Additionally, I have a passion for helping nonprofit boards of directors understand how a strong adherence to nonprofit
best practices and governance principles can help them to be more effective in achieving their mission, manage risks, and
ensure long-term sustainability.
As a trauma-informed certified instructor, I focus on preventing, mitigating, and addressing stressful and adverse events.
Trauma-informed workplaces can increase safety, health, well-being, productivity, and commitment to the
organization.
I hold a B.A. in Social Rehabilitation from Troy University and completed graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Georgia.
I’ve served as an instructor for Georgia Center for Nonprofits/Nonprofit University, Emory University Continuing Education, CANDID (formerly Foundation Center),
and Right Management, as well as a guest lecturer and speaker for universities, and conferences. My certifications include CliftonStrengths,
Women’s Empowerment Coaching, Trauma-Informed Training, the Community Resilience Model, Grant Certified Specialist, and Certificate of Public
Management.
I am also an author on resilience and overcoming adversity and the co-author of three personal development books for women.
—by envisioning a
compelling future, mapping the most efficient path to get there, rallying people around the plan, optimizing resources
and systems along the way, and celebrating each step of progress as we grow together.”
Dr. John Augusto Certified Gallup/CliftonStrengths Consultant since 2016
I am a certified CliftonStrengths coach and higher education leader dedicated to helping individuals and teams
recognize, develop, and apply their unique strengths. My coaching approach is rooted in the “Name, Claim, and Aim”
philosophy, guiding clients to identify their talents, take ownership of them, and purposefully apply them in both
personal and professional contexts. Drawing on my background in experiential learning, I design and facilitate
interactive sessions that bring strengths to life and enable participants to translate insights into real-world action.
I have consulted with for-profit corporations, nonprofit organizations, and universities, supporting diverse groups in
leveraging strengths-based development to enhance collaboration, innovation, and performance. My work at
institutions such as Kennesaw State University, Georgia State University, and the University of Kansas has focused on
creating impactful learning opportunities and building experiential partnerships with nonprofit and community leaders.
Through this strengths-based methodology, I inspire individuals and teams to thrive—transforming potential into
sustained growth and success.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English from Washburn University and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of
Kansas. Since 2016, I have been a certified CliftonStrengths coach and consultant, committed to helping people unlock
their talents and achieve meaningful results.
